  6. who boughT  Amiga computers
  7. and tried to learn how to use
  8. them.
  9.  
  10. Every dayt hey  studied books and
  11. manuals. THey bought every Amiga
  12. magazine he could find, and read
  13. every single word in them.
  14.  
  15. He sent away for Pd discs, and
  16. printed out all the doc files,
  17. hoping to gain information
  18. on this marvelous new toy.
  19.  
  20.  
  21.  
  22. But it was all in vain.
  23.  
  24.  
  25.  
  26. Nowhere could he find anything
  27. to help him use fully the 
  28. "awesome graphics capabilities"
  29. that was splashed on every
  30. Amiga Advert.
  31.  
  32. You see, everything that he read
  33. was written for people that
  34. already knew everything about
  35. computers, so all the books, all
  36. the manuals, all the magazines
  37. were written with abbreviated
  38. words and CAPITAL LETTERS, and
  39. words.that.were-joined_together
  40. with vast amounts of numbers,
  41. and all kinds of wierd letters#@.

  45. But most frustrating of all
  46.

  49.  
  50. was the mention of "arc.files"
  51.  
  52.  
  53. or rather, the non-mention of
  54. "arc.files"-because no matter
  55. where he looked, he could not
  56. find anything that actually
  57. explained what "arc.files" and
  58. "un-arc.files" were.

  60.  
  61. So, sad and at the same time
  62. very bitter, he gave up his
  63. Amiga computer.

  68. ..and bought a Spectrum 128+2
