THIS IS THE STORY OF BRUCE...
AND JOHN...
who boughT Amiga computers
and tried to learn how to use
them.
Every dayt hey studied books and
manuals. THey bought every Amiga
magazine he could find, and read
every single word in them.
He sent away for Pd discs, and
printed out all the doc files,
hoping to gain information
on this marvelous new toy.
But it was all in vain.
Nowhere could he find anything
to help him use fully the
"awesome graphics capabilities"
that was splashed on every
Amiga Advert.
You see, everything that he read
was written for people that
already knew everything about
computers, so all the books, all
the manuals, all the magazines
were written with abbreviated
words and CAPITAL LETTERS, and
words.that.were-joined_together
with vast amounts of numbers,
and all kinds of wierd letters#@.
But most frustrating of all
was the mention of "arc.files"
or rather, the non-mention of
"arc.files"-because no matter
where he looked, he could not
find anything that actually
explained what "arc.files" and
"un-arc.files" were.
So, sad and at the same time
very bitter, he gave up his
Amiga computer.
..and bought a Spectrum 128+2
